Creative solutions which save time and money
The Boots Naturals project involved working with Boots to develop a working brief for a range of wooden hairbrushes under the Boots ‘Naturals’ label, combining Boots commercial requirements with Albyn’s market knowledge and manufacturing expertise. Initially the brief was to supply the product only, packaging was being handled separately. However concerns over mock ups supplied and rising costs led to Albyn suggesting an alternative solution – it worked.
A new pack which was much easier to assemble and thus cheaper was developed working with Boots design consultants. Albyn then handled the packaging production and delivered the finished products to the warehouse. Savings were around £5k for design fees and a 10% reduction in pack cost, plus one less supplier was in the loop. A good result all round. Liz Benson, Boots Product Manager was delighted ‘ Albyn were able to step in and modify the packaging to reduce packing time and to make packaging that was a quick and smooth process…Albyn’s advantage over competitors is that they are able to think ‘outside the box’ for each individual project’
